Big Money versus a Stone Age Tribe

Big Money versus a Stone Age Tribe
The second oldest people on Earth, the Hadzabe tribe of Tanzania, are having their ancestral land taken from them. Why? So an Arabian prince can have his own "uncrowded" game park. A few quotes from the tribe: "Money was just papers," recalled one tribe member. "It was very strange, because we learned you could take this paper to a shop and get a pen. It was very interesting." "What is the need for time?" Kaunda asked. "You wake up, you get honey. What do you need time for?"

What's your accent?
Be honest when you take this quiz and it'll tell you how you sound to others. I was "Midland," the "accent that newscasters try to imitate."

In the continuing saga...
Now, Japanese officials are taking out ads in American newspapers denying Japan's role in sex slavery during World War 2. Most people, having never heard either side of the story, tend to believe the first side that they hear, and for many Americans, this will be their first impression. UPDATE: Now the US Government is upset about the ad. Cheney ain't happy, and that's never good.

Monsoon season is just around the corner!
According to Korean weather forecasters, monsoon season will hit Korea in a few days. This will be a test for my apartment. The building is new and my apartment faces the prevailing winds.

Outrageous Politics
Russia – what the hell is happening there? Russia(ns) attacking Estonia’s cyber infrastructure. Estonia asks for help from NATO, probably making US Russian relations worse.

FUN FINAL NOTE

Holy Beating, Batman!
Poor Pluto, can't play any planet games.
