What a Week!
Gov't gone wild

Gov't gone wild
In Zimbabwe, the government is ordering stores to sell goods for less than they can buy them. Now, gas can only be bought on the black market, for three times what it was legally available for just days ago. This'll turn out good.

This is scary
Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul says that Bush is about to stage a fake terrorist attack to push America into a war with Iran.

KWTF?
The FCC (American regulator of all things TV and radio,) has allowed two new TV stations to have interesting call letters - KWTF and KUNT. Seriously.

Russia today
I've posted other links in "What a Week!" about how Russia is changing, but this is a nice overview - starting with teen summer sex camps and going through the burgeoning racism and attempts to re-write history (Stalin was now a good leader). An interesting if scary read.

Scientist looking at the Big Bite
Some people attract mosquitoes, others don't. Interestingly, in Korea, mosquitoes leave me alone, but back home they like me. Racist mosquitoes?

US using forced labor to build embassy in Iraq?
Startling testimony about how the US government is contracting a Kuwaiti company to supply Filipino laborers to build the new US embassy in Baghdad. The problem? The workers think that they are going to be casino workers in Dubai, not construction workers in Iraq, and they can't leave.

FUN FINAL NOTE

oops apocalypse
Here's a bunch of photos of poorly-timed ad placements.

But visit Brugge anyway
According to this conspiracy, Belgium doesn't exist. I guess i'm part of the conspiracy, too. Some of the photos on this site are from that non-country.
